Motor vehicle collisions happen due to the negligence of drivers and sometimes, due to intervening circumstances beyond a person’s control. Some factors that might cause a traffic accident include distracted driving, overspeeding, improperly lit highway, underlying medical conditions, or a fault in the vehicle. Motorists can mitigate these factors by ensuring that they put their safety, their passengers, and other road users above everything else
The first step to achieving this is obeying traffic rules and regulations like driving within the speed limit, driving without any form of impairment, and maintaining one’s travel lane. Avoid distractions while on the road, and seek alternative means of transportation if compromised in any way.
