The Sparks Police Department on Thursday, July 23rd, detained the man who allegedly intentionally crashed into a group of pedestrians in Sparks, Nevada. They booked Juan Pablo Guerrero into the Washoe County Jail on a ten count charge, and he would need the services of auto accident attorneys.
The accident report disclosed that the incident happened on Wednesday, July 22nd, at about 6 p.m. The police said that Guerrero drove a brown Lexus into five pedestrians beneath a railroad overpass on Battle Born Way along Reno-Sparks line, south of US Interstate 80.

After the collision, the suspect continued driving for several blocks with one of the pedestrians on top of the car. Detectives located the vehicle in Reno, and further investigation uncovered that the incident began with an altercation between two groups at the nearby Grand Sierra Resort. They said it might have involved an armed robbery.
The police said that Guerrero had two passengers in the Lexus, but they have not charged the two with any offense. The latter might change after the investigation. One of the pedestrians passed away as a result of the collision, leading to a count of an open murder charge against the suspect.
He is also facing four counts of a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm and five counts of failure to stop at the scene of an accident causing death or injury. The suspect remains in jail without bail, and there’s no additional information at this time.
