The man arrested on suspicion of DUI following an accident in the Pacifica area of California would need a drunk driving attorney’s service. The Pacifica Police Department took Jose Rivera, 30, of San Francisco, into custody on Saturday night, July 25th.
The man was allegedly driving impaired when he collided with two other vehicles at about 10:10 p.m. at the intersection of State Highway 1 and Rockaway Beach Avenue. The crash left Rivera with injuries, and the medics took him to the hospital for treatment after the police placed him under arrest.

Under California law, driving under the influence (DUI) occurs when a person operates a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or when the driver has a blood alcohol concentration of .08% or higher. Minors and adults aged between 18 and 20 would be liable for a DUI if they have a BAC of .01% or above.
Commercial bus drivers who have a .04% or higher BAC would also be liable for driving under the influence. A driver charged with the offense would have his driver’s license revoked and a 30-day temporary permit issued. The latter is an administrative penalty, and the offender can also face criminal penalties that cover fine payment, jail time, and compulsory alcohol treatment program.
