The investigators said that a 2004 gray Jeep Liberty, towing a small utility trailer eastbound on Colorado failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign. At the same time, a 2017 Ford F-150 heading south on US 84 bypassed the first vehicle causing it to roll into a barrow ditch on the side of the roadway.
Lizenbee and Robinson sustained unspecified wounds, and the medics used a land ambulance to take them to Coleman County Medical Center. From there, they flew the two to Hendrick Medical Center, and their conditions remain unknown.
The report of the accident also disclosed that the medics took the infant to CCMC, where the doctors pronounced the child dead. The police added that the deceased was not secured in a child safety seat during the crash, and the injured two were not wearing seatbelts.
The driver of the Ford was not injured, and the investigators did not state if the person would get cited. There is no additional information at this time.
