A man and a woman in Spokane, Washington, would need the expertise of a drunk driving attorney after their arrest by the police for driving under the influence. They took the suspects, identified as Jennifer Petrick, 50, and Kenen Pierce, 53, into custody on Sunday night, May 10th.
The events that led to the arrest of the two began with the woman who committed several traffic offenses that ended in a crash. Spokane Police investigators said that Petrick, driving a Jeep Cherokee at about 8 p.m. ran the stoplight at the intersection of First Avenue and Washington Street.

Witnesses also told the officers that the woman ran several red lights on First while speeding. The culmination of Petrick’s actions ended with a collision with other vehicles on the roadway. The police determined the female driver was under the influence and arrested her on suspicion of DUI.
Afterwards, the lawmen took her to an undisclosed hospital for treatment of unspecified wounds. The occupant of one of the vehicles involved in the crash sustained minor injuries, and received treatment at a local hospital.
When the police started clearing the scene, Pierce, a tow truck driver, arrived to move one of the wrecked cars involved in the accident. An officer approached his truck, smelt marijuana, and called in a drug recognition expert to determine if the man was under the influence.
While waiting, the tow truck had a mechanical issue that made it roll into a patrol car; the fender bender caused minor damage to the police vehicle. The expert, upon arrival, evaluated the suspect and determined he had signs of impairments.
The lawman arrested the male suspect, and the SPD DUI Enforcement Team officer Michael Huffman reminded motorists to drink and use marijuana responsibly. Those arrested for the being under the influence while driving should hire a drunk driving attorney to represent their interest.
