The bike struck a wall and fell from the interstate bridge to a concrete culvert below. The police did not provide any additional information about the accident, and the investigation is ongoing.

Motorcycle accidents are not uncommon in the state of Texas and the United States. Most bike crashes — either solo or against another vehicle — often ends fatally for the motorcyclist due to the exposed nature of the motorcycle.

Injuries sustained from bike crashes range from blunt force trauma to the head that leads to intracranial bleeding and concussions, to upper and lower body injuries. Others are internal bleeding, road rash, fractures, and broken bones.

Accident reports show that the fault lies mostly at the feet of the motorcyclist, and the factors range from recklessness to impairments. Another is over speeding; bikers love to go on top speed to feel the wind on their face while riding.

Traffic officials advise riders to ensure they have on protective clothing and a  helmet when on the motorcycle. The two would help to reduce the risk of fatal injuries and give the motorcyclist a chance of survival.
