Accident reports show that most motorcycle crashes occur due to the negligence of riders and their inattentiveness to the roadway. Over speeding, impairment caused by drug use or alcohol intake, and adverse road conditions also contribute to the accidents.
Traffic officials advise motorcycle riders to maintain the legal speed limit when riding, and ensure they are not impaired in any way. Wear protective apparel, and properly fasten a helmet to protect the eyes and face.
