Hit-and-run collision in Fresno leaves pedestrian with broken leg

FRESNO, CA – Fresno Police say a woman was transported to the hospital with a broken leg after being struck by a vehicle in central Fresno on Monday night.

According to ABC 30, the victim and a man were drunk and crossing the intersection of West Shields Avenue and N Pleasant Avenue around 6:30 p.m. While stepping into the roadway, the woman was struck by a light-colored truck that fled the scene.

Officials expect the victim to recover from the broken leg.
