The Colorado River Station’s Marine Enforcement Unit responded to an accident on April 19, at 2:25 p.m. The accident occurred between a 24-foot Tracker pontoon boat and a 19-foot Omega boat as they approached a popular beach area.
Based on their preliminary reports, the front of the pontoon boat rear-ended the Omega boat. A passenger on the Omega boat, identified as 21-year-old Hannah Scott, had to be transported to the hospital when the boats reached the California shoreline.

Scott suffered head injuries in the accident. She was taken to Havasu Regional Medical Center, where she received treatment and was released. The report did not indicate if Scott had obtained a boat accident attorney to represent her due to the injuries she sustained in the accident.
There was no report on the driver of the Omega. It is not clear if they were injured in the accident or not.
The driver of the Tracker pontoon was identified as 35-year-old John Deuth of Manifee. The accident occurred just south of Echo Lodge on the Parker Strip. San Bernardino County Sherrif’s Deputies apprehended Deuth and charged him with operating a vessel while under the influence.
Deuth was booked into the jail in Needles, California. It is not clear if he received a bail amount or not. The police are still investigating the accident.
