The GSP spokeswoman, Franka Young, said that the accident that claimed the life of the woman occurred on Tuesday night, May 5th. The crash occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. near Milton Drive. The event that led to the accident began with Turner driving a 2005 Toyota 4Runner east of the roadway.

The deceased tried to negotiate a curve on the road, and at the same time, a 2014 Nissan Maxima driven by Sara Creech of Dalton, was heading west and trying to negotiate the same curve. Turner struck the front of the second vehicle, causing both to start spinning.
Young said that the woman was not wearing a seat belt, and the impact of the collision ejected her from the Toyota. The driver landed on the roadway and sustained extensive injuries that claimed her life at the scene; the medics pronounced her.
Creech, on the other hand, sustained severe wounds, and the medics used an air ambulance to transport her to Erlanger Hospital. The accident report also disclosed that a male passenger in the woman’s car, identified as a Tunnel Hill resident, received treatment at the same hospital for minor injuries.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation, and the public will receive updates once the GSP has more information.
