Close to the mile marker 164, a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by Duku, struck the rear of a camp trailer. The trailer was getting pulled behind a Ford F-150 Supercrew, driven by Strougo. The trucker and the camper trailer were traveling in the left lane.
Duku failed to maintain her lane and drove into the right lane where she struck the camper. The impact caused Strougo to lose control of the truck and trailer, and both went off the roadway and overturned.
The rear of the pickup rested partially off the ground, and on top of the trailer. The van also traveled a bit off the right lane, before re-entering. Its front end got stuck under a commercial vehicle.
Strougo sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Three people whom the man was towing also got injured. The medics took a 35-year-old woman, a 9-year-old child, and 7-year-old child to the hospital.
The accident report also showed that Duku was issued two citations. One for failure to maintain lane, and another for having no proof of insurance.
