A bicycle accident attorney would be needed to hash out the legal issues arising from an auto-bicycle attorney in Tyler, Texas. The authorities identified the victim of the Thursday, April 30th, accident as Gary Dean Satterfield, 65.
The Tyler Police PIO Andy Erbaugh said that a vehicle struck the deceased while he was riding a bicycle at about 3 p.m. The crash happened at the intersection of Old Jacksonville Highway and Cumberland Road. The statement released by the police showed that witnesses reported Satterfield was riding on a westbound sidewalk.

The bicyclist attempted to cross the intersection from Cumberland into Old Jacksonville. At the same time, a black BMW traveling north on OJH was passing, and ended up striking Satterfield.
The witnesses also said that the driver of the vehicle had the right of way when the accident occurred. The cyclist had a red light, which he ignored as he drove through the intersection. Passersby performed first aid on Satterfield, but their efforts were futile as he succumbed to his wounds at the scene.
The TPD closed down Old Jacksonville Highway and advised motorists to use alternative routes while they conducted a preliminary inquiry. They reopened the road afterward, and an investigation into the accident remains active.
The fault in most auto-bicycle accidents lies at either the feet of the bicyclist or that of the driver of a vehicle. Either way, the bicycle rider is mostly affected, and the wounds sustained are either life-threatening or altering.
Traffic officials advice that drivers and bicyclists should exercise caution while on the road. When an accident occurs, consult a bicycle accident attorney for legal advice and representation.
