Investigators gathered that the Infiniti, driven by 26-year-old Gabriel Sierra of San Bernardino, was eastbound on Kendall Drive, and approached the Little Mountain intersection at a high speed. Another motorist, driving the 4Runner was at the time attempting a left turn from Little Mountain Drive in the opposite direction.
Sierra entered the intersection at high speeds and crashed into the 4Runner, suffering fatal injuries in the collision. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene. The other motorist, identified only as a 46-year-old Rialto resident, went unscathed.
Following the crash, parts of Kendall Drive and Little Mountain got shut down at the intersection as the necessary on-site investigations and clearing out continued.
Detectives ruled out intoxication as a factor in the crash. Speed, however, appeared to have played a role in the traffic wreck.
Victims of traffic collisions, or their families, should contact a car accident lawyer for representation as soon as possible.
