Motor vehicle accidents are not uncommon, and they occur daily in California and other parts of the United States. Drivers can mitigate the factors that cause crashes by driving cautiously and obeying traffic rules and regulations.
When driving, a driver must maintain his or her lane of travel, operate within the roadway’s legal speed limit, make turns at the designated exits with functional turn signals, and avoid driving when intoxicated. Maintain the car regularly, check for fluid leakage, adjust the side mirrors rightly, obey traffic lights and stop signs, and yield the way to other drivers.
Additionally, maintain adequate distance between cars, wear a seatbelt, and pay attention to the road. When driving at night, turn on the headlights at full beam, and avoid driving during adverse weather.
