Another 19-year-old, whose name has not been released, was found outside the vehicle after the accident. It was not clear if they were ejected or made it from the car before it ignited. 18-year-old Devyn Crosby was in the car with Cuoto when it caught fire after striking the tree.

The undisclosed 19-year-old was taken to Rhode Island Hospital from the accident site. He is listed as being in stable condition. Police believe that he may have been the front-seat passenger.

The Berkley Fire Department responded to the scene and put the flames out quickly. Foul play is not suspected in the accident.

Cuoto and Crosby recently graduated from Somerset Berkley Regional High School. It was not clear if the undisclosed 19-year-old was a classmate as well.

Police are currently still investigating the accident.
