Impaired driving is caused by alcohol or drug-induced driving, which affects the mental capacity of the brain. It often leads an impaired driver to drive recklessly and go over and beyond the speed limit, leading to an accident.
Authorities have therefore advised drivers to navigate the roadway with utmost care. When driving on the road, pay close attention to other road users by determining the average speed, and maintaining the legal limit.
When at turns or intersections, drive carefully, and drivers should ensure that they have the right of way before driving across or making a turn. Eliminate blind spots by rocking and rolling forward in the driver’s seat to see around the windshield post.
Always follow the four principles of driving safely. They include looking ahead, looking around, leaving room, and communicating with other motorists.
