Tuesday, February 25, authorities released the name of the third fatality in the Fallbrook bus accident.
23-year-old Cinthya Rodriguez Banda from Mexico was identified as one of the women who was ejected from the bus.

Earlier in the week, authorities released two of the deceased women’s names. They were identified as 73-year-old Julia Perez Cornejo and 67-year-old Maria De La Luz Diaz.
So far, very little information has been released regarding the circumstances around the bus accident. Federal investigators have been called to work on the investigation.
Of the 18 injured passengers that were taken to surrounding hospitals, 11 of them are considered to have severe injuries. This includes the 5-year-old boy who was injured in the accident. At last update, he was suffering from head injuries.
The investigation has uncovered that very few of the passengers were utilizing the seat belts that were on board the bus.
The driver’s name has still not been released. He only sustained minor injuries in the accident and was taken in for questioning. The 52-year-old man from Whittier voluntarily gave police a blood sample after the accident.
They still do not believe that impairment caused the accident.
Investigators looking into the charter line found that there have been no known reports of crashes for the company. They have passed every inspection they have encountered in the last two years. This was information released from the United States Department of Transportation.
The vehicle is still being inspected at the California Highway Patrol evidence yard. They are currently working to rule out any possible mechanical malfunctions.
The weather on the day of the accident was rainy. A witness even stated they saw the bus hydroplane prior to the rollover.
