When first responders arrived at the crash site, they found the vehicle smashed against the center median and engulfed in flames. Martinez died at the scene, but there’s no information on the second victim’s identity at the time of this report.
It is also unclear whether the man drove the vehicle or was a passenger. The investigation into the occurrence remains ongoing and it is headed by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Several factors like driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and over the speeding limit might cause a person to lose control of a motor vehicle, resulting in an accident. Poor weather conditions like rain and snow that leads to slippery roads, brake failure, faulty steering wheel, and other mechanical defects cause loss of control.
Losing control while in transit often results in a panic attack, leading to severe or fatal consequences. To avoid the latter, law enforcement and traffic agencies advise motorists to keep a level head, avoid applying too much pressure to the brake and avoid stepping on the gas pedal.
