The alert led to the closure of the Western Avenue northbound on-ramp to the freeway, and it remained active until about 12:45 p.m. There is no additional information at this time.
Traffic collisions can either involve one vehicle making it a solo crash, or two or more vehicles, creating a two-vehicle or multiple-vehicle wreck. The trio has common causes, and car accident reports show that they are either the direct result of negligence or external influences beyond the motorist’s control.
Whatever the reason, drivers can mitigate the factors that cause collisions by obeying traffic rules and laws contained in the California Vehicle Code. Failure to follow either of the two can lead to accidents, and depending on the facts of the crash, it can also lead to adverse legal consequences. The latter could be minor like a ticket and a fine, or it could be severe like jail time, and revocation of driving privileges.
