A 24-year-old man Devonte Wright will require the services of a top accident lawyer after police officers arrested him in Texas. The suspect was apprehended on April 22 after he led local officers on a chase with two children in his car.
There was an incident at 1:30 p.m. at the Trendwood Apartments at 1700 Dallas Circle, in which shots were fired. Wright’s vehicle, a silver Dodge Sedan, matched the description of the car linked to the shooting.

An officer spotted Wright in the area near the intersection of Turner Street and Lenox street and asked him to pull over but he refused to do so. He drove off at top speed and led the officers on a chase, going through East Waco Drive, before heading west across the Brazos River. The chase ended abruptly at West Waco Drive and Novelty street after the suspect drove into a utility pole.
After crashing the car, the suspect got off and attempted to run away, covering a block, before the police captured him. The officers searched him and found marijuana on him. There were three other people in the vehicle, a front-seat passenger, and the two kids in the backseat.
The front seat passenger cooperated with the officers and was released after interrogation, while the kids’ family members came to pick them up. They were taken to a local hospital for examination.
Wright was taken to McLennan County Jail. He previously had 18 outstanding traffic warrants and now faces new charges, for which he will surely need a top accident lawyer.
Further investigations revealed that the Dodge Wright was driving in wasn’t linked to the shooting at Trendwood Apartments.
