A man from Bellflower, California, would need the services of a drunk driving attorney after getting charged with DUI related offenses. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced the charges against David Michael Garrison, 38, on Thursday, April 2nd.
The charges against the man stem from a Long Beach accident, which occurred on Monday, March 23rd. The fatal crash on Pacific Coast Highway and Anaheim Street killed a 64-year-old man, Dennis Van Nguyen.

The police report showed that Garrison slammed into the vehicle of the deceased at high speed. They arrested the DUI driver on Monday, March 30th. A criminal complaint filed on Wednesday, April 1st, cited the driver as a repeat offender.
Garrison has a prior conviction of a DUI offense in 2011 in Minnesota. The LADAO said he is facing one count of murder and vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. The man is also facing driving under the influence of alcohol, causing injury within ten years of another DUI offense.
Another charge against Garrison is driving with a .08 percent blood alcohol content causing injury within ten years of another DUI offense. The man will also stand trial for driving under the influence of a drug causing injury with an allegation of causing bodily harm.
The driver’s arraignment will take place on Thursday, April 16th, in a Long Beach Courthouse. He is currently in custody, with his bond set at $2 million. Garrison would require the services of a drunk driving attorney to prepare for his trail.
