On Monday, July 20th, the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified the motorcycle rider who passed away in an accident in Hesperia, California. David Beckwith, 38, a resident of Crestline, died from injuries sustained in the Sunday, July 19th, accident.
The traffic collision occurred in the area of Amargosa Road and Key Point Drive. Deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office said that a vehicle struck Beckwith while he was riding a motorcycle on Amargosa near the intersection with KPD.

When fire department officials and paramedics arrived at the scene, they found the victim lying on the roadway unconscious. The medics rushed him to Desert Valley Hospital, where the medical personnel pronounced him dead. The police said that the vehicle involved, a white and black Ford Flex, sustained front end damage upon impact.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The inquiry into the cause of the accident is ongoing, and there’s no additional information.
