LOS ANGELES, CA – Authorities were called to the scene of a motor-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 near the Los Angeles Zoo on Monday afternoon.
According to Total Traffic Los Angeles, the incident happened shortly before 2:55 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the freeway at the North Zoo Road overpass.

Drivers were cautioned to avoid the area, as northbound traffic was backed up all the way to Broadway.
