The preliminary investigation uncovered that David and Brandon were riding a Honda 450 motorcycle when they smashed into the passenger side door of a 2015 Range Rover Evoque driven by a 68-year-old male driver from Summerlin.
The investigators said the vehicle was turning left from southbound Pavilion onto eastbound Regal when it entered the victims’ path. The MPD said that the Honda did not have a headlight, taillight, turn signal, or any provisions to accommodate a passenger.
Lt. Bret Ficklin said that the male motorist remained at the scene, did not show any signs of impairment, and will not face any charges. David and Brandon died at the scene, and the Clark County Coroner has not officially identified the two.
The victims’ friends and classmates held a memorial for them at the accident site on Saturday and displayed two flower bouquets symbolizing their age. Residents said that teenagers ride dirt bikes in the area often, and the brothers were not strangers to the vehicle.
