The charges against 25-year-old Ciara Enns have been modified to include aggravated assault according to a news story released on March 23 about an incident that occurred on March 14.
Based on the reports, a taxi cab driver was near his vehicle when Enns got into it and drove away. He attempted to try and catch her on foot, but had to call the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office for assistance.

After fleeing from the driver, Enns crashed the taxi cab and was held by off-duty deputies until the Scottsdale police arrived. It has now come to light that while being detained, she struggled, biting one of the deputies.
Enns is currently facing charges of vehicle theft, aggravated assault, and resisting arrest. The report was not clear if there were any other injuries caused by Enns in the pursuit or taxi cab crash.
It is also not clear if Enns was under the influence when she stole the vehicle. In 2017, Enns was convicted of a DUI and received more than one count of assaulting an officer.
The aggravated assault on the police officer could result in Enns spending some time behind bars, especially with this being her second offense. There are also fines that can be assessed, as well.
At this time, the online records regarding the case are not available to the public. It is not clear if Enns has been released on bail or is currently still awaiting her court date in jail.
