Facts from the accident report showed that the man crashed his vehicle at about 11:28 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26th. When officers with the Peoria Police arrived at the scene, they found the driver partially ejected from this car.
A preliminary investigation helped the police determine that Parr was westbound on W. Glen Avenue when he traveled off the roadway and struck a culvert. There was no other vehicle involved, and the investigation is on to determine what caused the victim to go off his lane.
Veering off a lane of travel is not uncommon, and more often than not, it leads to motor vehicle accidents. The latter can either be a solo crash, or a head-on collision with a vehicle on the opposite lane.
Accidents of this nature often lead to fatalities, minor, or severe bodily harm. Thus, drivers must maintain their lane and avoid lane splitting, wrong-way driving, weaving in and out of traffic, and speeding.
