The authorities in Dryden, Washington, identified the man who died in an auto collision in the city. In updated accident reports released on Thursday, May 21st, they disclosed the victim’s name as Charles Lemons, 81.
The accident that sent the man to the afterlife occurred on Wednesday, May 20th, at about 2 p.m. It took place in the westbound lanes of the Big Y Interchange of Highway 2/97. The Washington State Patrol said that Lemons Chrysler PT crossed from his route into the opposite roadway.

The act caused the older man to collide with an oncoming eastbound GMC Sierra. The impact of the collision left Lemons with severe injuries that claimed his life at the scene. A woman traveling with the deceased, identified as 79-year-old Katherine Lemons, sustained unspecified injuries.
The medics transported the woman to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee for treatment. The driver of the GMC identified as Arlen Simon, 67, and his passenger, Aaron Simon, 44, both of Leavenworth, did not sustain any injury.
The WSP has not discovered why the Chrysler went off the road. The investigation is ongoing, and there’s no additional information at this time.
