In the backseat of the Tahoe was Jones’ daughter, Crystan Graham, who had gone into labor just after dawn, and her mother was rushing her to the hospital.
Amidst all the chaos during the accident, Graham gave birth to a baby girl, whom she named Cea Anderson. When emergency personnel arrived at the scene, the mother did not know what happened to the baby.
Police feared that the child had flown out of the window during the collision. The red clay mud around the area made it hard for them to locate the child.
Officer Bride suggested that Officer Huff look under the middle row seats of the Tahoe for the child. There they found Anderson, umbilical cord still attached. Huff gently took the baby to a nearby ambulance then told the mother and grandmother the news that the baby had been found, and she was alright.
Anderson is currently in the Gwinnett Medical Center neonatal ICU in stable condition. Both her mother and grandmother have been released, only sustaining minor injuries during the car accident.
