FRESNO, CA – According to Your Central Valley, a man passed away in the hospital after a vehicle vs. bicycle collision in central Fresno on Monday afternoon.
Officials with the California Highway Patrol say the accident happened around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of North Cedar Avenue and East Brentwood Avenue.

The bicyclist was heading east on N Cedar Ave when he crossed into the path of a southbound Toyota Camry at the intersection.
After being struck by the front of the vehicle, the man was ejected onto the car. He was not wearing a helmet and suffered head injuries that were described by authorities as ‘extremely severe.’
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later died.
The five motorists in the vehicle were uninjured and cooperated in the investigation.
Police do not believe that alcohol or speeding played a role in the accident.
