CASTAIC, CA – Authorities say at least one person was airlifted to the hospital following a rollover semi-truck crash on Interstate 5 South near Cherry Canyon on Tuesday night.
According to KHTS, the collision occurred around 7:30 p.m. north of Castaic, prompting a helicopter response to the overturned truck.

L.A. County Fire Department Supervisor McBride provided an update at 9 p.m. stating the helicopter transported five people from the scene. At that time, it was not clear how many were patients vs. friends or family.
Officer Kravig with the California Highway Patrol said all southbound traffic on the highway was shut down for more than three hours on Tuesday night.
