An accident report from State Route 243, about 4 miles from Desert Aire, Grant County, Washington, tells of the tragic death of a female driver. Cricelia Zepedaacevedo, 38, died on Monday, April 27th, after an auto-collision.
According to Washington State Patrol Trooper, John Bryant, the Desert Aire resident was driving a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix at the time of the accident. Zepedaacevedo was heading north when she drifted off the roadway to the right, overcorrected, and struck a 2006 Chevy Silverado.

The woman sustained severe injuries and died at the scene; the medics pronounced her. The driver of the second vehicle, identified as a 31-year-old male from Mattawa, sustained significant wounds, and the paramedics took him to Kadlec Medical Center for treatment.
Both Zepedaacevedo and the unnamed driver did not have passengers in their vehicles. The WSP closed the roadway where the crash occurred for about five hours while the investigators conducted an inquiry and cleared debris from the road.
There is no additional information at this time. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing, and the authorities will provide an update at a later date.
