Accidents involving pedestrians are common in the state of California. This could be due to the large population in the state, which often leads to heavy traffic. Hence, motorists have to be extra cautious, especially in areas known to have heavy vehicular and human activities.
Drivers must look out for pedestrians before making turns or driving into new streets. Motorists must obey road traffic lights and must always wait for pedestrians to cross the road before driving off.
Pedestrians, on the other hand, must use only the sidewalks when walking on the road, and not enter into the roadway. They must only cross the road via designated crosswalks.
Accident reports show that collisions involving pedestrians occur because of negligence. Hence they need to pay more attention to these safety measures.
