The latter occurred in the 14900-block of Texas 183 in far east Fort Worth on Sunday, May 17th, at about 9:30 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found six vehicles including an 18-wheeler wrecked on the highway.
An initial report alleged that one of the drivers involved fled the scene, but the authorities clarified on Thursday that no motorist left the accident scene. The police did not release the details of the collision, and they also failed to state if the investigation into the tragic wreck is ongoing.
An accident becomes a multiple vehicle collision when it involves more than two cars. As seen in accident reports, it begins with a vehicle hitting another, which then sets off a chain reaction that affects others. It often leads to fatal wounds or severe injuries.
Traffic authorities advise motorists to imbibe safety behaviors while on the road to prevent collisions. Drivers should always maintain their lanes, avoid wrong-way driving, running red lights, and going beyond the speed limit.
