On Saturday, June 6th, a resident of Laguna Niguel, lost his life in an auto-pedestrian accident in Laguna Hills, California. The Orange County Sheriff-Coroner identified the deceased in an accident report as Anthony Martinez, 20.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the 911 call about the crash came in at about 11:23 p.m. The accident’s facts remain elusive, and it is still unclear if Martinez was walking at the time of the accident.

The coroner said that the man passed away from his injuries at the scene of the accident. The driver of the vehicle that struck Martinez did not remain at the scene, and the sheriff’s office is treating the collision as a hit-and-run accident. They are actively searching for the suspect, and have asked for the public’s help.
