Responding officers gathered that the victim, identified as Amanda Edwyna DiGirolamo, a 35-year-old woman was present in one of the vehicles involved. The mishap kicked off when a blue truck slammed into the rear of a tow truck parked on the roadside at the intersection of Austin and South Granada. At least one of these two vehicles then collided with a brown Kia, causing major traffic disruption.
DiGirolamo suffered severe injuries in the wreckage. Emergency responders administered life-saving measures on the woman at the scene before transporting her to a local hospital for further treatment. Detectives failed to specify which of the vehicles the victim was traveling in when the accident happened, or if she was a motorist or one of the passengers. It is unclear if other casualties resulted from the traffic wreck as the reports failed to indicate.
The CHP is heading up an investigation into the cause and liability of the accident.
Involving a car injury lawyer in such situations would enable the victims to secure maximum compensation for damages while ensuring the responsible party faces the law.
