A southbound train approached the victim, and he tried to run away from the tracks as it neared him. He was unable to get off the road on time, and the locomotive struck him. The medics at the station gave the man first aid, but he succumbed to his wounds.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing. The FPD plan to look through the surveillance videos of the crash to comprehend how it happened. They will release any additional information later.
Ordinarily, law enforcement and railway authorities advise pedestrians and motor vehicle drivers to stay away from train tracks, especially when the stop sign or light is activated to show an oncoming locomotive. However, the two sometimes disobey the rules, leading to fatal consequences.
Pedestrians and drivers who want to cross-train tracks must ensure they do so at a designated public crossing with either a crossbuck, flashing red lights or a gate. Crossing at any other place amounts to trespassing, and offenders are liable to pay a fine.
