A 16-year-old riding an ATV was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident on March 4, in Jurupa Valley. The accident occurred around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Market Street and Rubidoux Boulevard.
Riverside teenager Alexander Bastida ran a red light going eastbound on Market Street. A heavy-duty pickup truck driving northbound on Rubidoux Boulevard struck Bastida and his ATV.

Due to the fatal injuries, Bastida sustained during the accident, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police. Their name has not been released.
ATVs have certain characteristics that separate them from other off-road classified vehicles. These vehicles have three or four lower-pressured tires.
