The other vehicle was identified as a white Porsche which was moving westbound on the 183rd Street at the time. The sheer impact of the collision caused both vehicles to slide away from the roadway and into the front yard of a street-side residence.

Dominique Wood sustained critical injuries in the collision. Once the first responders and law enforcement personnel arrived on the scene of the crash, he was rushed to a local hospital. However, he failed to recover and was pronounced dead later at night.

The Porsche driver sustained only minor injuries in the incident. The Homewood Police Department continues to investigate the incident. At this point, the key aim of the investigations is to determine how the accident occurred. Subsequent accident reports may reveal where the liability lies for this tragic incident.
