A motorcycle accident attorney would be useful in addressing legal issues arising from a fatal auto-motorcycle crash in Pomona, California. The authorities identified the victim of the Saturday, May 2nd, accident as Julian Moors, 44.

The Riverside resident died from the injuries sustained in the crash that occurred at about 5:40 a.m. on the Pomona (60) Freeway of Garey Avenue. The California Highway Patrol said that the event that led to the accident began with a 29-year-old male from Compton.

The unidentified driver was driving a 2008 Mercedes Benz CL550 eastbound on 60 Freeway when for unknown reasons, he lost control of the car. The act caused the man to hit a 2017 BMW motorcycle, driven by Moors.

The motorcyclist landed on the active traffic lanes and was hit for the second time by a 2019 Kia Sportage driven by a 37-year-old unnamed Lynwood woman. Moors passed away at the scene, and the medics pronounced him dead.

The CHP does not believe drugs, alcohol, or a combination of both played a role in the accident. They did not state if the drivers that struck the deceased remained at the scene and cooperated with them. The investigation is ongoing, and there’s no additional information at this time.

Under California law, a person who causes an accident that leads to the death of another is liable to face a vehicular manslaughter charge. A conviction means time in prison for a period of two to ten years, depending on the circumstances of the case.

Those involved in auto-motorcycle crashes should contact a motorcycle accident attorney for legal advice and representation.
