Two armed men had entered the store with two duffel bags, which they loaded with merchandise. The employees tried to stop them, but they ran outside into the waiting vehicle. A male employee followed the men out, and as he took down the license plate number of the car, Britt knocked him down intentionally.
The police said that the unnamed staff sustained minor injuries and received treatment. Further investigation linked the suspect to ten other robberies in the city in the last two months. The police did not release how they tracked down Britt, but they have him on charges of theft and assault with a deadly weapon.
