A top accident lawyer would come in handy for a young man who stole a car and crashed it in the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego, California. The police arrested Miguel Garcia Carreon, 23, on Thursday, April 30th, for both offenses.
The preliminary accident report showed that an unidentified 23-year-old man at about 10:55 p.m. Wednesday, April 29th, was sitting in his car in the 3800-block of Third Avenue. He got out, walked away, and left the vehicle’s door open with the engine running.

Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department said that as the man walked away, he saw a man — Carreon — get into the car through the passenger side. The motorist then returned to the vehicle through the driver’s seat and started to scuffle with the suspect.
After a while, the young man got out of the car, pulled the owner out, then kicked and punched him several times after pushing him to the ground. Carreon then entered the vehicle and drove away. A short time after, a patrol officer sighted him, and a short pursuit followed.
The suspect crashed the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot, but officers caught and arrested him. They booked the young man into the San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of DUI and carjacking. Carreon’s bond is set at $100 000 pending his arraignment, fixed tentatively for Friday, May 1st.
Those involved in police chase and a crash should hire a top accident lawyer for legal advice and representation.
