A bicycle accident attorney won’t be needed following the identification of the man who died in a vehicle accident in Napa, California. The Napa County Sheriff’s Department released his name on Wednesday, April 15th, as Isac Avila Avina, a 67-year-old resident of Unincorporated Napa County.

The NCSD said that the man was involved in a solo accident on Sunday, April 12th. The crash occurred at about 2:05 p.m. outside of Avina’s home located on the 2500-block of Atlas Peak Road. The deceased was about entering his driveway when he lost control and fell off the bicycle.

The man ended up in a 15-feet concrete ditch on the side of his driveway. The NCSD received a call about the crash and dispatched a rescue team to the scene. When the first responders arrived, they found Avina with severe injuries.

They successfully got the then-injured man out, but his wounds were quite extensive, and he passed away. The cause of the tragic crash remains unknown, and the authorities are still investigating.

Bicycle accidents resulting in fatalities are not uncommon in California and the United States. Several factors that are beyond the control of the cyclist lead to accidents. They range from adverse road conditions to malfunctioning or defective bicycle parts.

When a cyclist dies from factors outside his control or gets injured, then the victim can bring a wrongful death or personal injury lawsuit against the person at fault. The victim or the offender can hire a bicycle accident attorney for representation.
