A vehicle coming in the opposite direction hit Morales and kept going. The driver of the southbound vehicle, Jazmen Craddock, saw the accident occur.
Craddock and a passenger in her vehicle described the incident as unnerving. They heard the collision and saw the dust flying. Then the vehicle sped off.
A neighbor saw the accident happen, along with the other children. They have told police all the information that they can. Right now, they know that the SUV was a Toyota. The color is silver or gray.
The police are currently attempting to track down any images that may exist of the vehicle.
The Fort Worth Police Department is currently seeking surveillance from surrounding homes. They hope that one of the cameras either caught the incident or the vehicle on camera. The hope is for a license plate number to be visible in the videos.
The family had gathered due to the recent passing of their grandmother. Morales’ older brother said the children came running to him about the hit-and-run. They attempted to save his life, but they were unsuccessful. The SUV drug the boy several blocks before he became dislodged.
Police are currently seeking anyone who may have information on this accident. They are asking that they call the police department at 817-392-4869. The investigation is ongoing. Once the suspect has been caught, updates will be made available.
