An accident report released on Thursday, April 23rd, confirmed the identification of Kilgore, Gregg County, Texas, accident victims. The authorities released the names of those affected in the three-vehicle collision as Yves Renard, 48, of Florida, Lacedric Womack, 32, of Louisiana, and Joseph Evans, 19, of Houston.
The crash which impacted the three occurred on Wednesday, April 22nd, on Interstate Highway 20, westbound two miles east of Kilgore. The preliminary report released by the authorities showed that Renard was driving a Volvo 18-wheeler towing a semi-trailer west of the interstate while it rained.

For unknown reasons, the man struck the concrete barrier on the roadway, which caused the Volvo to veer to the left, and hit a Nissan Titan and a Ford-350. Womack drove the Nissan, with Evans and one Johntavious Gray, 19, of Louisiana, as passengers.
The 18-wheeler went on to hit the concrete barrier on the other side of the roadway. The force of the impact caused it to go through the wall and down an embankment. The vehicle came to a rest underwater in a creek.
Renard sustained severe wounds and died at the scene. Womack and Evans suffered injuries, and the medics took them to CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center in stable condition. Gray and the driver of the Ford, identified as Chemere Powell, 28, of Marshall, were not taken to the hospital.
The accident report also stated that the cause of the crash remains under investigation. There is no additional information at this time.
