Maria Diaz-Nunez would need a top accident lawyer to represent her interests following the disclosure of the charges against her by the police in Woodstock, Illinois. The Woodstock Police Department revealed the offenses to the public on Tuesday, June 9th.
In a press release, the WPD said that the suspect on Thursday, June 4th, at about 3:53 p.m. made the wrong turn at the intersection of Route 14 and Route 120. Diaz-Nunez was supposed to make a right turn onto R-120 but instead entered the left lane, crashing into the passenger side of a vehicle pulling farm equipment.

The woman’s vehicle ended up in the grass on the north side of the road, and the collision’s impact ejected a 7-year-old boy sitting in the third row. The medics flew the victim to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, and he died two days later on Saturday, June 6th.
Diaz-Nunez suffered a cracked vertebra and some broken ribs, and she received treatment at Rockford’s Javon Bea Hospital. Two other passengers in the vehicle, an 18-year-old boy and an adult female passenger received treatment at an area hospital.
The driver and passengers of the other vehicle did not go to the hospital. The WPD deemed Diaz-Nunez liable for the accidents, and she is facing charges for failure to yield at a stop intersection and failure to secure a child under 8-year-old in appropriate child restraints.
The other charges are improper or prohibited turns at an intersection, failure to wear a seatbelt, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and driver’s license expired for less than one year. The police said the minor’s organs would get donated, and they will also perform an autopsy on the boy.
