In an accident report update released on Thursday, May 21st, the authorities disclosed they identified the woman killed in the Long Beach, California, hit-and-run accident. They revealed her name as Stacey Finley, 42; she was a homeless woman.
The Long Beach Police Department said that the accident occurred at about 1:40 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20th. It took place precisely at Woodruff Avenue and Willow Street. The coroner’s office said that Finley died at the scene of the crash.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the pedestrian was walking in the southbound lane of Woodruff when a vehicle traveling on the same roadway collided against her. The police said that the driver of the car fled the scene without stopping to render help to Finley.
