OCEANSIDE, CA -A woman was killed as the result of a suspected DUI collision while walking along Oceanside Boulevard early Sunday morning.
According to Fox 5 San Diego, police responded to the call within the 3300 block of Oceanside Boulevard shortly after 2:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers found a female victim unresponsive in the eastbound lanes of the road. They attempted life-saving measures that proved to be unsuccessful and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 43-year-old female driver was assessed at the scene and subsequently arrested on suspicion of being under the influence.
The identities of those involved are being withheld pending further investigation.
