A semi-truck had slowed to turn southbound onto N Palm Ave, forcing a trailing black sedan to slow down. An SUV then rear-ended the sedan, sending it into the back of the semi-truck.
Officials said the occupants of the sedan were a mother and her two children, 18-month-old twins. They were all conscious after the collision and were transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the SUV was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, said officers.
