The hit-and-run driver suspected of causing significant injuries to a motorist in Temecula, California, has been arrested, and he would need representation from a car injury lawyer. On Tuesday, August 18th, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said in a press release that they took Domingo Nava Cruz, 40, into custody around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, August 17th.
Sheriff’s officials said that they found the suspect in an apartment in the 3000-block of Rancho California Road. They booked him into the county jail on suspicion of hit-and-run causing injuries, driving without a license, DUI, and failure to appear.

The accident the man fled from occurred two months ago on June 23rd. The accident report disclosed that Cruz ran a red light with his green Toyota pickup while heading west on Rancho California Road. He broadsided a black Jeep Patriot making a left turn from Interstate 15 southbound off-ramp onto the busy thoroughfare.
The suspect then left the scene on foot and the occupant of the Jeep with significant injuries. The sheriff’s office said that they issued a warrant for Cruz’s arrest, and in late July, they released his picture to the public in an attempt to locate him.
The officials did not state what led them to the suspect’s location, and there’s no additional information at this time. Hit-and-run charges are avoidable if drivers obey the requirements of the law. Rather than flee an accident site, remain, call the relevant authorities, render help to the injured, and wait for the first responders to arrive.
