Justus Sharp suffered severe injuries when he was hit by a car on Friday, January 31 in Bellingham. Law enforcement personnel reported that at approximately 7:23 p.m. local time, Mr. Sharp was tragically struck by 19-year-old Noah Jordan, who was driving a 2003 four-door Hardtop. The incident occurred in the area of East Maple Street and Samish Way when, law enforcement said, the motorist had been speeding through the intersection and reportedly failed to yield to the pedestrian in a crosswalk. 

Paramedics got to at the site of the incident quickly and took the victim to a local Bellingham area hospital where he is being administered treatment for severe injuries, law enforcement added.

AUTO-PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

Based on data from the official report by Bellingham city authorities, the motorist was driving over the speed limit and failed to yield the right of way to the pedestrian. The Bellingham Police Department will investigate the incident and Noah Jordan could be cited or criminally charged as a result.
